We’re looking for a IT support analyst to:
support big data applications that will eventually migrate to Azure ensure workflows, processes, tooling and applications meet the highest production quality standards contribute ITIL production expertise to the onboarding of existing and new IT products and services define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements assist in planning BCP, patching and other infrastructure related projects contribute to automating manual processes get involved in problem management to identify root causes and ensure issues don’t reoccur maintain a knowledge database
You’ll be working in the Technology Operations Center (TOC) which provides application support for the UBS Financial Reporting and Analytics (RAS) suite of applications. You will be located in Zurich and will be part of a global team but will principally support Zurich based applications.
As a Authorized Office you’ll play an important role at the ground level building UBS specific big data skills within the team and providing hands-on support as part of the L2 Application Support team. You will play an important role in maintaining production stability, resolving incidents in a timely manner and working closely with development and business partners. You’ll be able to work with your colleagues on interesting projects that will help build your skills and experience.
a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred but not required experience with Cloudera and / or MicroStrategy Hands-on L2 experience Azure knowledge is desirable but not required 3 years hands-on experience with UNIX, SQL and MS Office products experience with monitoring solutions, preferably Netcool, AppDynamics and /or Splunk use of or knowledge of automation tools like Automation Anywhere or IPcenter a plus proficient with tools such as ServiceNow, Confluence, JIRA and batch scheduling tools like Autosys ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking track record of building good relationships with IT stakeholders and business partners a solid working knowledge of ITIL
a confident communicator and have excellent command of both written and spoken English able to accommodate periodic on-call and out-of-hours duties flexible, hands-on, and proactive
